Tracking subscription expiration and notifying subscribers of their renewal date is a major administrative task,
and one prone to error. (Administrative tasks at Heron Dance are not my strength and often get screwed up).

In Substack, and on this website, it is all automated and easy to double check later if I need to figure out what happened.

I sometimes receive checks with no email address attached and have no idea who’s subscription to credit.
And I rarely get around to depositing checks. They sit on my desk for months. And get lost.
